Welcome. These Terms of Use explain how you can use this website and what you can expect from us. "We," "our," or "us" means Carri Richard and Synchronous Faith Works LLC. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the site.

These Terms cover www.carririchard.com and the pages, forms, emails and downloads connected to it, including pages on thrive.carririchard.com (together, the "Site").

1. Agreeing to these Terms

By using the Site, signing up for emails or sending us a form, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The Site is intended for adults. By using it, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

2. Using the Site

You are welcome to read, watch, listen and download free resources for your own personal, non-commercial use. When you use the Site, please do not:

   •  copy, resell or republish our content as your own

   •  use the Site for anything unlawful, harmful or misleading

   •  try to get into parts of the Site, our systems or other people's accounts that are not meant for you

   •  send spam, viruses or anything that could harm the Site or other visitors

   •  use automated tools to scrape or collect content or contact details from the Site

We may suspend or limit access for anyone who uses the Site in these ways.

3. Our content and intellectual property

Everything on the Site belongs to us or is used with permission, unless we say otherwise. That includes text, videos, podcast episodes, blog posts, worksheets, tools, card decks, course materials, images, logos and the names of our programs and methods.

You may share a link to any page, or quote a short passage with credit to Carri Richard and a link back to the page. For anything more, such as using our materials in your own coaching, workshops, courses or products, please ask us first in writing.

4. Not professional, medical or therapeutic advice

Our content, coaching, programs and retreats are for education, encouragement and personal and spiritual growth. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment. Coaching is not therapy.

Please talk with a qualified professional about your own health and circumstances. If you are in crisis or think you may be in danger, contact your local emergency services right away. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Results differ from person to person. Stories and testimonials on the Site reflect each person's own experience and are not a promise or guarantee of any particular result. What you do with anything you learn here is your choice and your responsibility.

5. What you share with us: forms, stories and testimonials

From time to time you may send us feedback, stories, comments, photos, survey or application answers, or videos (together, "Submissions"), for example through the Retreat Feedback & Story form.

   •  You keep ownership. Your Submissions stay yours.

   •  Private feedback stays private. Feedback you give to help us improve, such as the feedback section of a retreat form, is for us and our team. We do not publish it as a testimonial.

   •  We only share your story with your permission. We only share your story, photo, name or video publicly when you have given us permission, for example by saying yes and agreeing to the permission terms on the form. The permission you give on the form explains what we may share and how, including how your name is shown. If a form's permission terms and these Terms differ, the form's permission terms apply to that Submission.

   •  Honest and yours to share. When you send a Submission, you confirm it is true, it reflects your own experience, and it does not include anything you do not have the right to share, such as another person's private information or photo without their permission.

   •  Using ideas. If you send us a suggestion or idea for improving our programs or retreats, we may use it freely without owing you anything for it.

To ask about a Submission or permission you have given, contact us using the details at the end of these Terms. How we collect, store and protect the personal information in your Submissions is explained in our Privacy Policy.

6. Programs, retreats and payments

Coaching, courses, memberships, masterminds, retreats and other paid offers have their own terms, such as a coaching agreement, retreat agreement, registration terms or purchase terms. Those terms cover pricing, payment plans, cancellations, refunds, travel and participation. You will see them before you book or buy. For retreats, see our Retreat Terms & Conditions.

If those terms and these Terms differ, the program or retreat terms apply to that program or retreat.

Payments are handled by third-party payment processors, as described in our Privacy Policy. Prices and availability on the Site may change, and we may correct mistakes in pricing or descriptions.

7. Emails and newsletters

When you sign up for our emails, we send you the content you signed up for, along with occasional news about our programs and retreats. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle marketing communications.

8. Links to other websites

The Site may link to other websites and platforms, such as podcast players, social media, booking and payment pages, books and partner offers. We include these to be helpful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Please read their terms before you use them.

9. The Site is provided "as is"

We work to keep the Site accurate, helpful and available. Even so, we cannot promise it will always be complete, current, error-free or uninterrupted. The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or its content, or from your reliance on anything you read, watch or hear here. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

If you misuse the Site, break these Terms, or send a Submission that you did not have the right to share, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from it.

12. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It forms part of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our programs, the Site or the law. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date. If you keep using the Site after an update, that means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. Any dispute about these Terms or the Site will be handled in the courts located in Virginia.

If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
